Current Gallery: tanks-a-lot ( piece)
When I was 12 years old, I read a book about tanks. After finishing, I decided that I wanted to be a tank commander when I grew up. I obsessed over it at times.
Maybe it was because I was a small kid until well after I graduated high school, and the idea of being a tank commander helped to compensate for the bullying I received... not likely. Forget that Freudian/Jungian/Piagetian/Etc.ian psychobabble. I wanted to be a tank commander because tanks are pretty damn cool. Plus, if you're going to be in the military, which I had dreamed about since I was six years old, there aren't too many places safer than behind three feet of armor, with a cannon that allows you to "reach out and touch someone" two miles away.
In August, 2003, the U.S. Army gave me the opportunitly to live my dream. I took command of 1st Platoon, B Company, 2-63 Armor Battalion - four brand new M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks. The pictures that you find in this gallery are of tanks and a lot of other military equipment.
In this gallery, you'll find not only pictures of tanks, but of other military vehicles equipment, and experiences that I had during the 10 years I spent on active duty.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my galleries. Thanks in advance if you've decided to purhase a print or framed version of any of my pictures. Regardless, I hope you have a great day.
