Current Gallery: gardens ( piece)
Artist Statement: The wall art prints in the Gardens Gallery are a compilation of pieces centered on gardens, fountains and public parks. The look is unique as I used a variety of watercolor and oil painting techniques. The different techniques create totally different visual experiences for a variety of interior designs. Many of the styles can be used in different decor depending on the way the art print is matted and framed. The final presentation can make a world of difference allowing the print to either stand out as a focal point or blend in with the rest of the room as a complimentary addition to the overall look. My approach to the prints in this gallery was to present a variety of garden looks from various locations. There are cherry blossoms from the University of Washington Campus and other gardens from the Seattle area. From New England, there are gardens from Martha’s Vineyard and the Public Gardens from Boston. From Victoria, British Columbia, we have scenes from the famous Butchart Gardens. From Arizona, we have a desert garden and a Spanish style courtyard with fountain. From Hawaii we have Gazebos in tropical gardens. In each print I have tried to capture a setting that pulls you into the print and makes you want to relax in the environment depicted.
