Current Gallery: sepiaphotography ( piece)
Artist Statement: The wall art prints in the Sepia Photography Gallery are my compilation of photographs that I put together representing a variety of subjects. The common thread is that I think the subjects represented in this collection work well with the sepia tone. The sepia tone is a result of the way film was developed in the 1800’s and early 1900’s, so we equate that look with that era. The brown tone reminds us of old, rustic, historic or vintage photographs. Today, we can re-create that vintage look digitally. This collection ranges from the old west look, historic buildings, farming to antiquities. The look is rich in history and warmth. In the recent additions to the collection, I have taken some liberties with the sepia format and allowed some of the original color to bleed through for additional elements in the look.
