Current Gallery: mandalas ( piece)
The word "mandala" originates from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated it means "circle", but it is much more than just a simple shape. Mandalas are cosmic diagrams, that represent wholeness and remind us of our relation to the infinite. Mandalas describe both material and non-material realities and appear in all aspects of life. The circular shape of the mandalas symbolizes the notion that life is never ending. Many mandalas have spiritual significance to an individual or group of individuals. Mandalas are often used for meditation purposes, allowing the individual meditating to become one with the universe. It is always best to intuitively select the mandala design and its color combinations. Namaste !
